    Looking back at Riverdating 2025

On December 3 and 4, RET took part in Riverdating 2025 in Lyon, a must-attend event for players in inland waterway and multimodal transport. Two packed days marked by constructive meetings, strategic discussions, and great opportunities for the future.

Throughout our professional meetings, we were able to :

    • explorer de nouveaux besoins,
    • explore new needs,
    • present our solutions designed to address today’s logistical challenges.

Our presence fully aligns with a key dynamic for RET: strengthening proximity with our partners, fostering dialogue, and co-building efficient and sustainable multimodal solutions.

Riverdating was also an opportunity to highlight our services and share the new perspectives we are developing to respond to the sector’s evolving needs.

A big thank you to everyone we met during the event. These exchanges fuel our motivation and strengthen our determination to continue innovating.

  • Improvement of Oversized Convoy Passage on the RM 353

Improvement of Oversized Convoy Passage on the RM 353

Following feedback from several transport operators regarding difficulties on the RM 353, the Port Autonome de Strasbourg requested the Eurométropole de Strasbourg to identify a sustainable solution.

Since 2024, certain oversized convoys traveling from the South Terminal to southern Alsace faced signage that was too low, forcing them to temporarily use the opposite lane at night under police supervision.
This situation resulted in additional costs estimated at approximately €120,000 per year for the transport operators.

To address this issue, the Eurométropole de Strasbourg and the Port Autonome de Strasbourg decided to work together on the affected infrastructure.
Financial responsibility was shared equally, formalized through an agreement signed on August 12, 2025.

Today, the work has been completed, and the signs now provide sufficient clearance for the safe passage of oversized convoys.
