RET has genuine expertise in the handling of heavy parcels, developed over more than 50 years at the Strasbourg Sud site. In 2024, 186 heavy parcels were handled, totalling 56,670 tonnes.
Our specialist equipment includes a 460-tonne gantry crane at the south terminal, two 250-tonne winches, auxiliary winches, spreaders and lifting accessories, enabling us to handle oversized loads in complete safety.
Each operation is supervised by experienced teams, with dedicated technical support right from the preparation phase. Depending on the complexity of the project, some operations can take up to 6 months to complete. This expertise guarantees reliable handling, from acceptance to transfer by river, rail or road.
